I have a friend who has an old suzuki quad. I'm trying to comprehend what it is. It's got no back shock, but has the fronts. Its definately a sport quad. He says its got like a 180cc engine. Its red. Its started by a pull string(like a lawn mower). He bought it for 500 bucks. i thought maybe an lt200? If you need more info ask in your reply. All I can think of right now.
Any help appreciated.

It could be either a 125cc years range from about 1984 - 1988
OR
it could be a 185cc years range from about 1985 - 1989
If it is a shaft drive it will be a 230cc sport/utility with high/low range, reverse, inbetween the seat and the handlebars. If you've got a picture, I could tell you exactly which one of these it is.

It's an LT185 Quadrunner. They were chain drive.
The LT185 had front suspension, but the LT125 did not.
It's not a sport quad but back then it didn't matter. The LT125 was the first fourwheeler ever made by anyone. It was released in the Fall of 1982 as a 1983 model.
The LT185 came in 1984 after Suzuki got wind of Honda's first fourwheeler [The 1984 TRX200]. Suzuki actually just throwed the 185 together. It had basically the same frame as the 125 except for the front that housed the suspension and actually used the 125 engine as a base for the 185 engine.
