QUESTION FOR OZARK OWNERS PLS ANSWER
#1
DOES THE OZARK 250 HAVE A SUPERLOW FIRST GEAR? IF IT DOES, IS IT ALWAYS IN FIRST GEAR, OR IS THERE A LEVER SO YOU CAN SWITCH IN AND OUT OF SUPERLOW AND REGULAR FIRST? WHAT HAVE YOU CLOCKED YOUR TOP SPEED ON THIS LITTLE NYMPFO? IS THIS A GOOD QUAD FOR AN ALL DAY RIDING TRIP? HOW MANY TIMES DID YOU HAVE TO REFILL ON A LONG TRIP? THX.

Hey Joe I'm not trying to start a feud but have you checked the Ozark out in person yet? The best way for you to get the right quad is to take your time and test them all out.
I'm not sure you asked about it but my old 250 Cat was a good machine. Not super fast but tough as nails with a few features not generally found on the smaller machines (sub tranny, IRS, 4.75 gal fuel tank). The Ozark seems to be the new small quad king (at least according to the mags). Like I said I'm not trying to cause trouble just trying to help.

Joe, the Ozark does not have a super low 1st gear. The 1st gear on my Bayou 220 is lower. The Ozark is very comfortable and I am over 6' and 230 lbs. I have a lot of seat time on my 3 quads and have ridden a Timberwolf. The Ozark and Recon are both the best for an all day ride. I estimate the Ozarks top speed at around 50 as it is faster than all the other utilities that I have. The LT230 blows it away though. I did refill it on a long day of riding and the Ozark seems to use a little more fuel than the Recon or Bayou 220. But it is not broken in real good yet {about 20 hrs.} If you are looking for the best 250 class trail/utility atv, in my opinion the Ozark is it.

Joe, Have you ever heard of "Paralysis of analysis" well you seem to have a major case of it. You keep asking basically the same questions about the same quads. You have the answers that you will get on here, now you need to go out ride a couple and make your decision. The Ozark is a great Quad and first gear is low enough for me. I was trail riding last weekend and got stuck on a steep hill trying to climb it in 2nd gear and was able to down shift to 1st and it pulled me right up. I was riding my wifes Ozark and I weight 280lbs.

Dudes I know im going up state next weekend with my friend, but he doesent have an ozark he has a timberwolf and a moto 4, so im gona ride the timberwolf to see if 250cc is really good enough. But my last and FINAL question that i NEED answered before i buy the ozark is: Is the superlow first gear on the ozark always in superlow mode, or can you switch in and out of super low and regular. THX guys.

The Ozark has just one mode, no high/low set-up, It has plenty of power, well more than a Timberwolf. It is geared more towards sport/trail riding than pulling power. If the Ozark does not have enough grunt for you then none of the 250 class quads will either, and you should consider a larger engine quad if that is the case. If you are a mud fan, a 4x4 would be a better choice.

No man thats exactly what im gona be using it for, trails, i know that this is enough for that, i just read in a review that it had a super low first gear, but since your an owner, i guess that youd know best, thx. But would you as an owner feel that the ozark has enough power for trails and steep hills and stuff? Could this little **** blow the timberwolf away in a drag race, cuz i want to kill the timberwolf.
