Ok, after researching and investigating and riding, I've pretty much settled on getting an Eiger 4x4 Auto.
The Eiger has good reviews (and won the ATV Action mag June shootout).
The Rancher 2wd/4wd model too expensive.
The Kaw 360 may have vibration problems.
I know this has been asked before, but please humor me----
Now how much below the list price of $5199 can I expect to pay?
What is the story on freight and set-up charges?
What have some of you paid Out the Door?
Any tips on dealing with these dealers?
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim,

I think you are making a good choice. My father just bought my mother the same one and I got a chance to check it out. It has a lot of nice features for the money. It was real powerful and the ergonomics are real nice. I am thinking about getting my wife the same thing. The dealer he bought it from was having a big spring sale and got it for $5200 out the door and delivered it to their house which is about 50 miles away. I think they got a pretty good deal. I am not sure what the breakdown is, but with all the dealer charges they put on plus sales tax, they probably got it for about $1000 under MSRP. Hope this helps.

Steve

sknaus,

I am in Englewood. Did your dad get his from here in the Denver area?
If so, which dealer??
Again, thanks!!!!!!

Great choice. I have a red 4x4 auto and love it. I paid $4800 out the door plus sales tax. My advise is call around and tell them what you want. I tried around 5-7 dealers and noone would touch that price. I finally found a dealer that met my terms, and I was in and out of there in an hour. No hassels.

I've been reading that the machine is gaining some popolarity and supply is dwindling behind demand. It may be a little harder to deal on these. Even at list, it's a great machine for the money. Lots of bang for the buck.

Good luck.

Hi Jim,

Yeah I actually live north of Blackhawk, but have a Golden address, go figure, I havn't been able to figure that one out yet. Anyway he got it over at the new Fay Myers on Arapaho. They were having a big grand opening sale. And they drove all the way up to Bailey to deliver it, free of charge. I never bought anything from them, but I am certainly impressed with them. Do you have any quads or will this be your first? I had a couple of different Polarises, but sold them and restored a 87 Quadzilla. I love this thing!

Regards,

Steve

Steve,
Small world, my office is 4 blocks from that dealership. I am going there at lunch to begin this process!!!! I was there a couple weeks ago when they had the grand opening looking at the atv's and the Bronco cheeleaders!!!!! lol
Anyway, this is my first ATV. I live in Franktown and want something to mess around the yard and go into the mountains with my young sons and their dirt bikes. I figured an ATV would also entice my wife to ride (as opposed to just a bike for myself).

I don't know if they'll still do it or what there inventory is.
I got mine at Desert Sports(they're also a Harley dealer) in Farmington for 4614 out the door. Payed no sales tax. Being a Colorado resident you shouldn't have to either unless you finance with the dealership. 600 bucks might be worth a drive down here.

On Edit:
If you do decide to call and visit with them don't talk to anyone but Mike. He is the only salesman and anybody else will qoute you list.

One more thing,
If anyone is in the market for a Harley and Mike likes you, you can actually buy an HD from him for less than list. Very, very rare in the world of HD dealerships. This could have already changed. I understand that the dealership just sold last week. No telling what the new owners greed factor is.
Side note: Two weeks ago he had three Z400s

I just bought an aoto 4x4 a few weeks ago. Paid $4647. No Tax. It included 98.00 for freight. If you call around enough you will find a dealer who will come off list and not add on alot of BS fees.I also picked up a used one with only 20 miles on it for $3900. This dealer was in Trevose PA. It's a great machine, handles good and has lots of power.

E, I bought them from Bromley Motorcycle 215-357-1534. They were one of the few places to give a good price over the phone.
