Where is the best place to buy rims for my new Quad? And what would be the best tires for trails and pipeline riding, should i go to 22" tires for clearance? If I heard correctly on here, somewhere, someone said the 400 ex rims will fit it? is this true?

Thanks

Rocky Mountain ATV, Hole Shot tires are the best for the woods, I would go with the 22-7-10 in the front and 20-11-9 in the back, Honda has the same bolt pattern as the Z400

I ride mostly woods and I love the holeshots in the rear but I don't like them up front. The holeshots in the front tend to slide out in a corner, I like the bandit puresports up front, where you point them is where they go, no sliding just riding. I haven't tried the puresports on the rear but I might try them soon, they are 6 ply I believe but the holeshots are hard to beat on the rear. Just my .02.

i agree, although its for my 300ex, i had holeshots for upfront and in the back, but i took the fronts off and used the stock tires instead.........

Little bit of advice. I would get yourself a new front or rear sprocket to get some extra low end if you go with 22's on the back. I too am thinking about going with some 22's for the back for the winter season. Maybe some of those bear-claws or spider tracs. They look pretty bad azz.

All I ride is powerlines and tight woods and the 22" tires are a must!! I have bottomed out a bunch and my plastic skid plate has about had it. I just put my 22" dirt devils off my 400ex on it and I put the front 22" bandits on it as well. What a difference it made in handling!!! I can carve twice as hard with the bandits up front and the wider tires on the back helps alot also. I don't bottom out on anything now and it also has more ground clearance than my 400ex had. I would put 22" razors or holeshots on the back and the Pure sport bandits up front. It will ride sooooo much better!!!

All my sport bikes have Holeshots front and rear, and I have to say I have NEVER experienced any "sliding" at the front end. I have to say that I do mostly ride dry surfaces (dry is all we have out here!), so I can't comment with much authority about mud.
