My wifes ozark is stalling once in a while when she rides it you give it throttle and it boggs and stalls. A buddy said to adjust the air mixture screw and I did it helped a little bit. I think there was some mud in it stalling it and I want to put it back to factory setting now that it is clean. Does any one know the factory number of turns for the carb on the air screw. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm having trouble w/ my new Eiger stalling which is dangerous on steep mountains. Unfortunatley, I found out after I bought it that Suzuki has a huge problem with carberators and vacuum hoses, etc. If it is in warranty take it to the dealer as I have done. That will get some documentation of the problem started.

monteSS,
Does it stall from idle, or while giving it gas with the throttle past idle? Either way it sounds like it was running rich. The serivce manual for my 2000 250 Quadrunner (same engine as Ozark, only detuned) had the idle mixture screw set at 2.5 turns out. You might start there.

I grew up in PA. We played Altoona in high school football; got our butts kicked. I was knocked unconscious on a kickoff and I have it on video. Haven't been the same since.

My girlfriend's has the same problem. Seems to stall on hills, in warm weather, and from a dead stop. Dealer found a tear in a diaphram in the carb(??) Sounds to me like they tore it removing the carb to check problem. Got it back and it still ran rough. I drained the fuel and carb and filled w/ new gas. Now it seems to run OK(??) I'll keep you posted. How did you make out w/ air screw?

May have already been asked. But what is factory setting? I would like to double check the dealers work.

I had a problem once, I did not get a good seal on the air filter cover and it stalled like a mug. I knew the problem right away because It's the only thing I did since I last rode it.
