im just kinda curious, ill be getting my license and a job soon and the first thing im gonna do is finance a z400, i was just curious what the payments are a month. i doubt ill be putting a down payment on the quad, since the dont cost that much, and at minimum wage ill still be able to make payments easily.
PS: ifthe 400ex had reverse, id be buying that, but where i ride...if its 200cc and abov, it needs reverse or dont bother

hey if you are just now turning 16 then you cant finance any thing till i think 18. Or at least that is the law in the state of Missouri, because that is what i was wanting to do and it didnt work out. But just cosign or even have one of you parents or gardians, whatever the situation, just have one of them finance it for yah and you give them the monthly payments. And those can be any were from $150 - $700 a month. depends on what you are willing or what you can afford a month

0, in my case.
But it reallt depends on the interest rate and term. a $5600 loan at 10% will cost you $118 a month for 5 years. Same loan at 14% would be $130.
I tried some other things and you'll basically be at about $115 or a bit higher.

I was just at a dealer today and this dealer puts up the monthly payments on the quads for 60 months. It was 171 for 60 months with nothing down. I don't see how they're so high but thats what they had posted on the Z400. This was through Suzuki finance.

The Suzuki (Honda and Yamaha too) finance is a ripoff. If you read the fine print, they give you an introductory rate of 3.95 or something for the first few months, then it goes to 18%. But if you are ever late on a payment, it automatically goes to 21%.
I bought my Suzuki during Suzukifest with 2.95% for 60 months through Suzuki, but they didn't like it. They advertised it and the fine print said "not all applicants will qualify". The dealer said my credit score was too good for them not to give it to me, but most people don't get approved. It is just a gimmick to get people in the showroom. The low APR was the deciding factor in buying the Suzuki over the Grizzly. It's like free money to get the low rate, but on most offers, the low rate is only for 6 months. If you can't pay it off or refinance after 6 months, you'll pay big time interest.
If you want to calculate payments, go to Edmunds.com and click on the estimate monthly payments tab. Be sure to include what you expect to pay for freight, set up, delivery, tax, and accessories into your price. Most people don't think about that.
If parents are willing to co-sign, you are much better off to go to a local bank and secure your own financing before going to the dealer. They can give you a much better rate/payment.
