A neighbor of mine is goeing to take over payments on my 300EX, bought it in August of 2000, still owe 3yrs of payments, the resell on this quad sucks. I owe more on this thing than I can get for trade in. I don't think he is getting screwed to bad, the EX is in awesome shape, 1yr-2months warranty left, and guradge kept, what do you-all think?
Anyway, I think I have decided on the Z(in 2 weeks), haven't gotten to see one on the trails yet, I hope I'm makeing the right choice, been a Honda rider my whole life, they have been good to me, I guess things change.
This will be my first Zuki
Keep the posts cummin on the new Z, I'm hangin on most every word!!!

The used ATV market is pretty good if you price it right and keep your machine in good condition. I've always paid several hundred under MSRP for new quads and never pay tax (farm card). People get in trouble when they finance the quad at full price, add in a helmet, ramp, clothing, tax, etc. and then decide to sell. You will never recover your principal balance. I sold my Raptor for $6200 after riding it for 6 months, which is more than what I could buy a new one for. Some people buy used to avoid the sales tax, freight, prep, etc. and save a few bucks.
As for selling your 300ex, watch the Bike Trader ads and classifieds for what they are selling for. Don't focus on payments, but the total cost. There are used buyers out there for a machine in good shape.
