Z400 is the winner?

Check out the post in the Cannondale forum. It talks about the DW shootout between the Z400 400ex and Cannibal. They said the overall winner was the Z400 but if yall read the post and the quotes that KNOWSALOT posted, even yall Z400 owners might find their outcome somewhat... weird.

If I had a Cannondale dealer in my province I would probably buy a Cannibal but I don't so I can't buy one. Your right the review was laced with money from Suzuki. What can you do, these small magazines need to sell copies and what way better to sell copies than to say a cheaper newer machines beat a more expensive exotic machine. I don't buy magazines anymore for this exact reason, we live in the information age and the internet gives us all the information we need on ATVs.
PS: I still love my Z400, this is in no way a bash against anyone expect the magazines.

Everyone at the mags will go on vacation when the Raptor and Z400 are pitted......MO MONEY MO MONEY! Plus, the outcome will be about a tie with no clear winner......haha.

The Cannibal is an awesome quad no doubt. However, I think the overall better quad for "most" would be the z400. "Most" are simply trail riders that just like to have fun and ride something comfortable all day. With the Z having reverse and being more comfortable, and maybe a little easier to maintain, I can kinda see why they would allow it to win. Of course all the adv. dollars Suzi spent with DW is another factor as well. However for performance, the Cannibal hands down. Granted I haven't ridden either, but have sat on both.

With the Z400 going for 5099.00 locally and the cheapest Cannondale going for 6999.00 not to mention that the closest dealer is over 200 miles away from me I can also see why the Z would win the shootout. The average trail rider in this part of the country isn't about to spend that much coin on a quad. Even though I would rather buy American I just can't see spending that much.( I have to have something left over for the racecar) If I was strictly going to race quads it might be a different story. A Speed would look really nice in the shop.

yep, magazines do suck these days. most make everything even givig absolutely no good useful info, except for bike specs incase you wanna buy one. i dont even bother with the shootouts anymore, they are useless. say the warrior is inferior to the raptor, well a skilled rider could kill a raptor on a track, so what is the point of a shootout
but if you think its bad in ATV magazines, check out shootouts in the RC magazine called RC car action, those are just pathetic, they take 2 cars, and before you read it you can tell which is better, but they get cash crammed down their throat and everything is even.
who said the internet is the big source for info?? id say yes and no to that, ys because of forums like these, no because of the few jerks you see ever-so-often on these kinda forums

My Suzuki dealership and my Arctic Car dealership are both 10 hours away from me (1100 kms) and those are the closest ones. Its a real pain in the butt when it comes to warranty but what are you going to do? Buy Honda? hahahahahah
PS: Honda is only 3 hours away, that just goes to show you how much I dislike Honda.
