Anybody in MN have a Z400 yet?

I am waiting patiently for mine to come in. I haven't seen anybody on these forums from MN that has one. My local Suzuki dealer has one but is using it for a demo. He is getting 7 more in. He is hoping in July.

Luecker,
being from Silver Lake, I would have to guess your dealing with Steve at Jungclaus. Is this right? Gotta tell ya, Steve has been a great help for me. Almost has me sold on a Hyabusa, but there are other needs that come first. Have you had a chance to ride that 400? I had a chance to take it for a spin a couple weeks ago, and all I can say is WOW. My only regret is the limited space to ride it there in town. It sure feels lighter than 370 lbs and that low end hit is unreal for a 4-stroke. One thing I noticed is that DRZ-S motor has a big hit with a small sound. It almost sounds as small as my old '88 Q'Sport. When he gets one in for ya, ENJOY. Maybe I'll be in the market for the Z about the time he gets one of his white ones in with the Yoshimura exhaust.

Yea, I got to ride it the first day he got it. I was very impressed. I too wish they had a bigger area to ride. I don't think it wheelies quite as good as the 400EX but I wasn't trying to hard (plus it had been three months since I had ridden).
Steve is busy everytime I stop in, I dropped off my new ATV action so he can read it.
Where are you from? And where do you go riding?

I live southeast of Le Sueur about 4 miles. I have a bro-in-law that's a teacher in Glencoe. Most of the land I ride on is private around here. I belong to the club that I have listed in my profile and we have a huge pit that is currently closed. But our club's officers are working with the county to get it opened back up ASAP.
As far as the Z not pulling a wheelie to good, I have to differ. I wasn't trying, but just a crack of the throttle in second gear at a snails pace, and it would lift the front 6" off the ground and hold it there until I let off the gas. If it's anything like my Vinson, it is very well balanced.

What dealers are there in Southwest MN? I know there used to be one in Marshall. My dad does ATV safety training and used to train down that way alot. I typed in Marshall's Zip code in Suzuki's dealer locator on their website and it only gave me Willmar.
I think if it doesn't come in this week. I will start looking elsewhere even though I really like dealing in Glencoe since it's only 10 miles away.

They have a white one coming in this week!! Only problem right now is that my wife does not like white. I kind of like the Yellow better. I either have to convince her to let me get white or wait till who knows when to get a yellow one. I would kind of like to get yellow to match my Dad's 500 quadracer. But we also have an LT80 that is white.
What do you all think?
Oh and LEP7MM Steve's neighbor is also wants a white one. He also said that the metro dealers ordered like 40, so when Steve got one they got 4.
I personally like the Kawasaki colors better but I do not like my local Kawasaki dealer. (by the way the x400 is built at Suzuki's factory on the same line as the z400.)

A couple of weeks ago, I was in Darryl Rath's shop having him re drill a set of aluminum rims for a different bolt pattern, and saw a new Z400 sitting in the side room,he had just picked it up,and was going to give it the full engine/suspension overhaul for track racing.Could it be the ol' 250 R he has raced all these years is going to be replaced? either that,or he will have one of the meanest Z's in the Midwest when he is done.Didn't have a lot of time to check it out, or talk to him about it, I was getting packed to leave for a ride/camping trip with my son, just thought I would let you know, since people wanted to know where the Z400's were in MN.

I watch Daryl race every year at the McLeod County fair. The past few years he has not been racing the 250R. I don't think it will replace the 250R, just add to his collection.
I am kind of surprised he got a Z400. I hope he didn't get it from my dealer because I was told I was getting the next one in. Maybe that's why I have had to wait so long. Daryl test rode it a couple nights after I did.
But he may have had one reserved at a different dealer.
Anyways I still don't know if I am going to get white or yellow.

Luecker,
I would love to have a white Z, but at the current time I have to part ways with the wheelers. Hopefully later this summer, I can re-stock my garage with a few wheelers. I know one thing for sure. I will definitely go to Steve for the business again. When that time comes, I may be lookiong at a new Z, a manual Vinson, as well as an Ozark.
