Cheap/Easy Z400 Breathing Mods?
#1
To those that have made some breathing mods to their Z400's, are there any easy, inexpensive mods that make a noticable difference?? Like removing the stock muffler baffle or drilling holes in the airbox lid, or even just rejetting?
The next thing I'm going to buy is a new airfilter, when they're available, either K&N or Uni. Does that mod alone require rejetting?
I've removed the muffler end cap and haven't a clue how to remove the baffle. Is there any performance benefit to removing the spark screen (arrestor)?? Would that require a jetting change?
Thanks!!

You can remove the airbox lid altogether, but then you need to rejet. A K&N with the conversion kit from Alba will work. Also, some on here do know how to remove that baffle. If you don't want to buy a silencer that's the way to go.
