I've been riding my Z400 for a month now, on once and a while I've been pretty rough on the Z400. I've been through water, mud, sand, hills, woods, motocross track, ect. This thing does everything I have expected with absolutly no problems.
Now to my point, I've seen alot of people writing in on this forum and out of all the people writing in I've seen only two people mention a problem with the rear axle being bent and one of them isn't positive it is the rear axle that is bent.
When I go to other forums and they're talking about the Z400 someone always has to mention a "axle problem". Now after a month on mine I have absolutly no problems.
Oh well thanks for hearing me out, heading down to Texas this next week we'll see if we can't bend something there. lol.

It looks like some dealers don't cover it while most do. Its best to ask first.

after a little pushing, my dealer covered it. mid cities motorsports that is. they are a good company. they go above and beyond customer expectations.

i had a bit of doubt at first, but this is new to them as well. if you need a place to go, go to this company and ask for steve. he's a good guy.

Even if they do cover it they are going to put another stocker on it. So, eventually you will have to buy an aftermarket axle.

I think that's great that Suzuki is willing to replace them. I just wish they would issue a recall and put something on it that will be a true fix.

I could be wrong but wouldn't you think they would have tested the hell out of the axle? A lot of the other things on a quad you never hear about breaking but axle's and tranny's seem to always have issues the first model year. This is why I do a lot of research before I buy a new model and let everyone else take the first hit.
