This thing is sharp, nice power, goeing rideing all weekend, I'll post my thoughts on the Z sundayish.

So far I really like it, but it stears funny to me, almost feels like it turns to easy, the front feels like it wants to dance around in the ruts w\ a little speed. It may just be the susp is to stiff for my weight, or I just ain't use to it yet.

Anyway it apears to be everything I have heard, pretty much.

GTV, I see that you are from Tenn. If you are riding tight technical trails like I do I found that by adjusting the front shocks down to the next to the softest setting that it handled the trails a bunch better. Mine handles like it's on a rail. Depending on your weight you might have to experiment a little. I still haven't finished adjusting the back to where I want it yet. I weigh around 230 and it's important to me to have the suspension right for the woods. A stiff MX style set-up will beat you to death pretty quick in Chadwick. I also changed the front sprocket to a 13 tooth for the woods.

Me, I'm at about 175 and I've got my fronts to their stiffest. I find that if I land jumps wrong, it bottoms them out pretty easy on anything under stiffest two settings. I say crank it up, buck up, and feel the pain in the shoulders later, better in the shoulders than in the wallets for some new shocks. As that cancelled TV show Titus's dad would say, "don't be a wussy". hehehe, j/k. You are so gonna love this bike. My girl and I totally dig ours.

I put about 70 rough miles on my Z this weekend w\ absoutly no problems, this thing is sooooo smooth.

Zookyridr: I weigh 175 and also have front adjusted 1 up from softest, I also tinkered with the rear a little, no complaints with susp, NICE! I read somewhere that someone has replaced the rear sprocket with a 43 tooth, I'd like to try that first. Where did you get your sprocket?

I did get a chance to run a Raptor, 440EX, 400EX, and a 650 Perarie.

Roptor, beat him once out of three runs

440EX, aparently this guy couldn't drive cause I blew him totally away

400EX(new with 13 front sprocket) pulled him from the start and steadly pulled away, but not as much as you would expect.

650P same as 400EX, by aprox 3 bike lenghts.

That was it for the drags, I put that in just for the drag fans(this was on a private asphalt road), in the woods(trails), it would be 100% driver ability, all these quads are very capeable!

Anyway, I had a blast, it ain't a Honda, but I think I'll manage, so far I really like it.

ya im pretty sure that it would be pretty hard to beat a raptor. my friend has a banshee with full race FMF pipes, filter, boost bottle, you know all the easier goodies. he weighs about 230 and i weigh 180, we raced about 5 times on a paved road and he beat me 3 times (he missed a shift one of those times) his bike is definately faster at high speeds, and if i could keep the wheels on the ground when shifting i can keep up through 3rd, but then hes gone.

long story short if the z and shee are this close with the z losing most of the time, it will not beat a raptor.

edit: my exhaust was not installed at this time, it was totally stock.

also i dont think drag racing, or any racing at all the first weeik/wekend was very smart, not supposed to do that during the break in time

So what is the break in period for the Z. How many hours have you put on your z before you opened it up. I put way over 10 good easy hours on it.

I'm a "liar", nah, I have nothing to prove. I "said" I beat him once. The first of three I "beat" him. Aparently it pissed him off and he got his head out of his *** cause he got me "only" towards the end of the next "2" runs. I only had about 25 spectators,(they were all buds with the guy with the Raptor), needless to say they were impresed, as am I that the Z hangs with the bad 660 for a good portion of a drag.

I now a Z400 can't out run a Raptor, but "don't" run a Z with your head up your ****, you "will" lose!!! I'm not "lying" That's all I'm saying. Take it as you will.

I have never gotten the chance to ride a Raptor, the guy I raced let me ride his, I was impressed, it handled a lot better than I expected. It is extremely dry here right now, the *** end of the R would slide around before it would tip if you were putting any power down at all. I expected it to try to roll in a turn with any speed at all, not true.

The R did feel a little heavier and the trans felt clunky, but I had been rideing a brand new tight quad all day, and something different almost always feels weard when you only ride it for a few minutes, you-all know what I mean.

Anyway that's how it went down, like it or not, it's my lie, let me till it anyway I want(HaHa).

Later guyes.

I watched a Z400 race a banshee today 3 times, it was pretty dry and kinda bumpy but the Z took him all three times until the end where the banshee would pass him. I was very impressed at that showing. The banshee was stock and I didn't know the riders of either machine so it could have been rider skill. Then a R and another banshee raced with the Z and the banshee won everytime with the Z in second and the R last. The R seemed like it had some pretty bad traction though. The banshee had about a bike and a half on the Z.

If the banshee took him at the end doesn't that mean the banshee won all three times?
