Ok...I was thinking.

Take the air lid off of the Z and get the Alba adapter and K&N filter set up. Is this a good set up?

Is an outerwear really necessary?
Wouldnt it take some power away?

i just got the filter, outerwear and adapter for my z, for 100 bucks i think its a good addition to use with the pipe and everything. i had the outerwear for my 400ex too, because i ride in a lot of sand, kind of.

i ride a lot of woods and dusty trails, should i take out the snorkel that is there if i get the adapter and filter? or would there be to much dust in the airbox from the snorkel hole?

You shouldn't cross the street w/o an outerwear on a K&N filter. The outerwear is they key....

If you were to ride trails with stream crossings, you would want to keep the lid and snorkel right?? But how much hp will be lost???

Would you need to rejet everytime if you chose to use the lid in the woods, and not in the sand???

Thanx,
