Hey guys,

Newest kid on the block seems to have a lot going for it.
My concern is will the LTZ400 last.
Been looking at the most recent recall and found out
Suzuki reputation isn't that great.

my money wisely as my stocks are worth @#$^% this very moment.

What's with you and your posts about recalls???? You did the same thing on the Polaris forum about Honda recalls. On the Honda forums you made some remark about Polaris being unreliable. Are you just bored????

Actually thats a good thing.
All machines have one small problem or one thing that could have been built better. When you see a Company do a recall thats the company being responsible and taking care of there customers. The Company that does not take care of its customers is the one you need to avoid.

I agree with Mega on that one just look at Yamaha. Go to the Yamaha section and ask them if they're happy with the Raptors tranny, at least Suzuki will accept their mistake and fix it. I know I would be quite pissed off if I bought a new Raptor and the tranny went and Yamaha wouldn't help me out.

As for knowing how reliable the LTZ is that is yet to be told but i'm sure if you keep your eyes open you'll start to see posts either good or bad about this machine.

I am not one to buy a first year model anything, and this was also a concern of mine at first.
But look at it this way.
Suzuki built the first 4 Wheeler, the Quadracer 250, and the only mountain mans quad, the Quadzilla 500.
They were the ONLY company with enough *****, to build the 500 2 stroke Quadzilla. NOT ONE OTHER COMPANY was willing to put that much power in a factory releaced quad. The Quadzilla still to this day has a cult following.
With Suzuki's MX quad experience, and the fact that they used a proven bad aZZ dirt bike motor they have used for 3 years, I figured the risk was minimal. And Suzuki was already willing to fix other minor problems with other quads.
Easy decision after thinking it through.
I've been anything but easy on the Z, and am happier with it every time I put in back in the garage.

WyoDuner,

Newcomers to the sport will use forums like these to make up their mind (like I want
to know if I should get an LTZ400).
Many people roaming around on this forum just keep going Honda/Polaris/Yamaha/Suzuki
is the best and the rest sucks.
In this day and age the differences between the brands are small, however sometimes
a manufacturer messes up on a model (that can be ANY manufacturer). This is probably
due to the highly competitive market which means they want to bring new product to
market ASAP (or like Honda announce a new model 1 year in advance like Rincon LOL).
Therefore I think it is better to talk about a certain model than to say XYZ is great and everything else is crap.

The story on the recalls is that some of you forget too easily what has happened in the
not so distant past. For instance a year ago when Honda announced the Rincon some guys
said that this thing would set new standards. Well guess these guys look really silly
now. There is NOTHING new on the Rincon. Man it uses stone age transmission you haven't been
seeing on any respectable car since ages. I feel somewhat sorry for the guys that didn't buy
the Grizzly, KVF650 or Sportsman700 just because they listened to some 'experts' in this
forum..............

The recall on youth ATV's was to torque down a couple of bolts, 1 minute job....not a big deal.

The Z400 has a great bullitproof motor, maybe the axle can't handle some of the crazy stuff people are doing to them, mine's ok.
