Having a serial number with the last four digits reading 0359 my axle is bent pretty bad. My brother with a 0600 something is not bent at all. We ride right behing each other as hard as we can and both weigh 135lbs. Just wondering if I can link early serial numbers with soft axles. My dealer is lazy and says the rep will not cover it. So if your axle is soft like mine post your serial number if you do not feel comfortable posting it just round it up or down. Thanks in advance

I talked to Dura Blue and they told me that they have completely redesigned their axles starting with the Z and they are doing a different heat treating process. They say that they have a lot of the Heavy-Duty axles out there and have had no complaints yet. The Eliminator 2+2 will be finished on the 15th and are at the chrome platers now. I will give it a shot since the store I am going through will replace it as many times as needed. They are local for me so if there are any problems they will be resolved quick.

I bent my axle on the fouth ride. I went to my dealer and they checked it and had the rep look at it.The rep went ahead and replaced under warranty .He told me that the new axle that they gave me is hardened different than the original one due to all the problems they have had. They mailed me the new one because it was on backorder. I staightened my bent one and when i recieved the new one it looks the same. I know you can't tell by looking at them to see if it is hardened different but he told me it was a different part # also. I work in a huge machine shop so i am going to have the two checked and see if there is a difference. I was lucky to have a cool rep. If you have a problem with your axle and it is under warranty you may have to bark at Suzuki not your dealer.I don't know if the serial # theory is correct but the rep told me the newer z's will have the new harder axle.

I took mine to the dealer in Reno today for the 20 hour check up. I told the service guy that I thought the axle was bent and he immediately spit out that the warranty does not cover the axle, only internal engine parts. Also that was the first he had heard about ANY bent axles on the new Zs. This dealership is full of $HIT! If its confirmed bent is their any recourse I can do?
