Can any of you zilla owners get neutral from third when pushing down lightly on the shifter? When I push down all the way I get second (of course ) but pushing down lightly will get me into neutral and that has me worried. The trany works fine otherwise.

What you describe is called a "false neutral". You are not in the actual neutral. If this is a problem that crops-up often, I would suggest cracking the motor open. The problem may be found under the clutch cover with the shifting mechanism there. However, I would guess the culprit is deeper. Your shift forks may be worn or otherwise damaged. To check and replace them requires splitting the cases.
