1 3/8 holesaw. you will need to rejet 140-152 it depends on what you do to airbox

I can't believe you tried to beat it out in your vice, hope you have not damaged it. The easiest way to get the pea shooter out is to first undo the allenkeys holding the end cap on then get hold of a 1"3/8 (35mm) holesaw. Hold the end cap in a drill press and drill out the pea shooter it only takes a couple of minutes and it does not damage the spark arrestor. Hope this helps.

Thx.

And of course i removed the allen bolts. I couldn't get the whole z into the vice. ROFLMAO. I took the endcap off, covered the nice finish, then put it in a vice. THAT'S when i tried beating and prying it out to no avail. I'll take the endcap in to work and drill it out now!

What I did was take a small drill bit and drill the wall around the pea shooter, made as many small holes as possible, & stepped up the drill bit sizes until I couldn't fit a bigger bit in there w/o damaging the rest of the exhaust cap.

Eventually, the spaces between the holes was small enough where I could take a dremel bit and cut it out.

The arrow points to a sharp point so that you can see what happens when you drill and cut.

When you're drilling, make sure you don't drill towards the spark arrestor.

Did you do a airbox mod? What jet did you use. How much did it help? I have thought about the pipe mod and a inch hole in airbox.

Sorry pal but i figured since you took to beating the crap out of the pea shooter and you asked for a DETAILED description on how to easily do it i thought i had better give it to you step by step. Sorry for trying to help.

I took my cap of and started it, it was pretty loud! How did it sound after you drilled it out? I also took the snorkel out and no air filter(it was drying) or lid, had the cap back on and ran it, it just fell on it's face when I touched the gas. I figured it would run bad but not that bad. THe jetting would fix that. There is deffinetly "free" power to be had in the air flow department.
Also when you took the cap off the exhaust did you notice the hole inside the muffler? It looks to be nearly the same size as the stock opening. I'm talking about the opening that is below the center of the muffler.

raptorACDC,

I have a 140 main jet.

I've removed the snorkel cover, chopped the top off the airbox, made a "outwears" out of speaker grill cloth & put two number 4 washers under the carb needle (to lift it up)

I haven't done a ton of riding, but the 140 seems ok. I may have to go to a 145 or 150 like others have done.

It's sounds slightly deeper and louder @ idle. Some other people have opened up that hole in the muffler to 1 3/8" using a hole-saw (i think). My butt-dyno says that its a bit more responsive.
