Plowed down a tree with my Z, no damage!

Came flying around a very dusty corner and to avoid clobbering an already crashed pair of 400exs, I had to mow down a couple of forearm sized trees. Hit one with the left lower A-arm and the other with the bumper. Then watched as my buddy John plowed down 2 more trees with my Ozark which ended up standing up on its nose, still running until I pushed it down. Ozark and John ok, small hole in Ozark seat and hurt rider pride in John. The big news is NO DAMAGE to Z-400! I thought it would wad up like a soda can after reading all the doom and gloom Z-400 strength posts! No bent axle either! I must have gotten the extra chromosone Z-400 that knew it would be bought by a 240 lb rider. So far,so good, the Z continues to delight me the more I ride it!

That's to be expected of a Suzuki. Not sure how some of the people in here ride down a trail and come back with bent frames, a-arms, axles, tie rods, and just about everything else. Either they just like attention or don't know how to ride....

I have no problems with Suzuki machines. My buddy had an LT250R that was awesome up until selling it. He hit a large bump and the tie-rod busted, threw him over the handlebars. We do some pretty aggressive riding, and after 12 years something was about to give ya know? Couple other buddies have 4x4 quadrunners and lt230's, they seem to hold up well. Thats not too bad at all for a reputation.

I accidently hit a few trees dead center into my rear tires which usually brought half of my quad to a stop while the other half wanted to keep going. My axle is fine. I had to pull the heel guard out of the tire, but it's just bent, not broken.

I flipped mine over backwards on Sunday. It rolled over me twice and continued to roll to the bottom of a large steep hill. I bet it rolled over ten times (I was uner it two of them) and hardly a scratch. The had to be adjusted back to where they belong and some plastioc scratched but no real damage. It really impressed all the guys out there. It is one tough quad!

I'm always laughing at my brother because i think his Z should have come with a chainsaw from the dealer. He's always taking down trees. The only damage to the Z so far is he's bent those soft rims all to hell. Other than that, all is good. I think it's a very well built quad.

You mean the front wheels are supposed to be on the ground???
I wondered why the handlebars swiveled. If you have been looking at my web page pics, bear in mind that I was showing off a bit to my riding buddies, David and George who ride 400exs, and were having a hard time getting their Hondas up. I seem to have a knack for wheelies {low center of gravity, lots of it too!} and took right to the Z-400. Those pics were the first time riding the Z just 1 day after I bought it! We found that flat prairie and started an impromptu wheelie contest, I think I won. I did 3rd gear wheelies all day and even got a couple of 4th gear ones in but not very long ones, ran outta room! We swapped quads and I did some 3rd gear wheelies on both of their EXs, but I had to clutch them to get them up. The Z just pulled up on motor alone. After a little practice they were doing decent ones too. The 400ex has great balance and feel but I really like the Z-400 better. Just a little better quad all the way around! Gotta 3 day weekend coming and vacation time coming 9/7-9/15 so you know what I will be doing a lot of!!
