250r i have is broke down as soon as we get it going i'm gonna race my brother inlaws stock banshee the 250r has fmf pipes and alot of other stuff done to it will i get smoked ?

 

your sig says suzuki, do you mean Honda????

a 250r with the mods you list shouln't have a problem (depends on what the shee has done)

My Z400 hasn't been destroyed by anything. The worst it has been beaten was about 5 or 6 lengths by a very modded Raptor. I've owned and have rode both the Honda 250R and the LT250R when they were both new and in stock trim a Z400 will outrun them both. The only advantage either one has over the Z is a higher top end which is useless unless your on a long straight away.
