I am wanting to buy a Suzuki this summer but am having trouble between the KingQuad or the 500. Money is going to be a factor but not to much. I like the options on the KQ for picking the range and 2wd or 4wd but i want something with plenty of power. Another thing is ground clearence. I know but need more but the 500 will pull bigger tires better. Any comments are welcome. Aslo, why doesn't Suzuki put the tranny options on the 500s, they would rule the Atv world then.

Sorry about the mistype but i is suppose to say i know Suzukis are lower than others so bigger tires are a must and the 500 will pull them better.

I would go with the 500. my wife has a 99 500 and loves it very comfortable, plenty of power, and all-time 4wd. we had the ltf250 4x4 it was too heavy for the motor size and could not keep up with the 500 on trail s with inclines.

The LT-F500 Quadrunner has a high and low range subtranny.

P.S. If you can, take one for a ride, cause that will be all the convincing you need to make your mind up.

I agree with r34...take one for a ride and then I believe the decision will be a no-brainer, it was for me.

I test drove both along with a number of other makes and went with the 500 Quadmaster. It's a rippin quad. Everytime I get off it, I can't wait to get back on it.

Good luck.

I have owned a 87 KQ and a 97 KQ.Those were two reliable quads but I will never go back to the smaller displacement cc quads again.I had a 500cc Sportsman and now a 400cc 2 stroke Xplorer. The KQ is NO match for either of the bigger engines.====BILL

If you test drive the 500 Quadmaster that is what you will buy. The automatic tranny really makes it fun ride and nobody will go off and leave you setting. The Qudmaster also has 2 and 4 wheel selection and I really prefer this option over full time 4 wheel drive, just makes riding much more fun.

I have a King Quad and love it. Yeah, it's slow but I ride slow, rough trails, lots of brush, ruts, muddy banks, etc. I wouldn't wanna go riding with guys on 400+ CC quads on the faster trails, I'd get left! I also like the King Quads balance. Whatever suits your taste. test ride both, if you like speed you'll probably like the power of the 500 over the functionality of the King Quad. If you want to go fast and get those torqey power bursts go with the Lt500, or the Quad Master if you want an automatic.
