They have big potential for HP increases, especially for the $$ in comparison to the 4 strokers... but I think we've already had this conversation.

I've seen dyno #'s from 75 to 77.3 peak HP,(Yes, at the rear wheels) but I'm not tellin what it takes to get there... LOL!

I dont have any dyno graphs for you, but ill give you what I have expreienced on my 500s.
88-bone *** stock-45hp
88-CT pipe, jetting,-51hp
88-LRD pipe,cool head, 41.5 carb, Boyseen reeds, porting-61hp

89-FMF pipe, no jetting-46hp
89-LRD pipe, K@n, jetting-52hp

In my opinion the 500 responds very well to mods, and it loves a good port job and a hi-rev pipe. It is not uncommon to see a 60-65hp Zilla that has nothing more than bolt ons and a good port job.

I think the Bomb's are up there around 500+ lbs or so, am I right?

The Zilla is right around 400 lbs dry.

Spongebob, not trying to be rude, just informative.... but the
500 would chew up the big DS quite easily.

I had it out with my buddies piped and jetted rappys when my Zilla was stock,
the Zilla put quite a few bike lengths on them real quick.

Should ride one sometime, if you get the chance.

JASON454: I and many friends of mine have had extremely good success with Eric Gorr. He does extremely good work and will not take you to the cleaner when it comes to the price. Stay away from all the big name places at all cost, quality control, for the most part is terriable. Everyone and thier mom claims to know the 500 engine, but fact is that there are only a handfull of people in the US that really know then engine. Check out his website:

http://ericgorr.com/

give him a call and talk to him, he is really nice and informative.
