Changing the oil will not help.
Take the carb apart(or find someone who will) and check to make sure none of the jets are clogged and also make sure the float is not sticking. Also remove your fuel line and blow compressed air through it just to make sure the hose is not clogged. It souds like it is only running off the gas in the float bowl which would mean something is sticking or clogged. Maybe you need to change your spark plug. Also check and clean the air filter.

BTW. IT would be a good idea to check and change the oil every so often.

I check the fluid levels after each ride.

I change the oil in the FACILITIES quads and dirtbikes all the time. Cheap insurance. Each one has a log book with the hours kept and written down after every ride.

What I meant is that anything involving the oil will not make it stall out (unless it is frying a piston ).

When I said it would be a good idea to check the oil every so often, I was being sarcastic. He SHOULD check the oil quite often, but I was implying that it is better to check the oil every once in a while than never.

yamahagye,

When I haven't checked my oil its has been one of those night rides to watch the missiles go off.

First thing in the morning I pumping dipsticks.

In and Out,
wipe that baby out
Now the sump is full
so Chet don't have to pull.

Pull as in Chet don't want no stranded quad because of not checking the oil.
