first of all when i was talking about 400EX's i was talkin stock
the ct 240 kit has 40hp which is more then a 400EX with a pipe kit
and ya i'm just goin by the toomey website dyno like the yamaharacer said
and yours is the only pipe i've heard that adds 6hp as you claim all the other ones i read articles on or looked on the internet add 2or3 hp maby 3or4 at the mid range. Was your friends 230 kit a whole kit with carbs, pipes, and porting? I'm not saying there slow especially in mx or trails. But in the dunes and in a drag i bet you that ct240kit would beat your quad. 40hp vs 34hp plus with the 50lb weight advantage. It is possible why do you think that 125dirt bikes race againt 250 4strokes. you need twice the displacement on a 4stroke for similar power to a 2 stroke.

that measurement is not at the rear wheels, it is most liely at the sprocket. some portion of the power is lost on the way to the wheels. it is usually a 4hp or so loss.
