Default Eiger Review

Went for my first ride this weekend on my 2003 Eiger 5spd 4x4. 122 miles no problems. I ride with 3 other Polaris machines. 500 HO, 325 Mag, 330 Mag. I took a lot of grief from these guys for buying a Suzuki. After the first day the 2 guys that ride the Magnums wished they bought an Eiger.
We road everything from paved roads, dirt roads, and county forest trails. After the weekend this was what I found about the Eiger.
Top Speed (GPS) 52.9 MPH on flat dirt road, I weigh 192 lbs.
4x4 seems to work as good as the Polaris 4x4 system.
The ride is much better on the Eiger than the Magnums.
28 MPG with a mixture of riding. (4 gallon tank is nice)
Tires could be better but had no problems with the Dunlops.
More than enough power for any situation. I was looking for 6th gear allot on the dirt roads.
I would recommend this machine to anyone.
I paid $125 more than the Magnums. And got a much better machine.
The skid plate SUCKS!
The protection for the front half shafts is almost non-existent.

Hey, I own a 2002 Eiger 4x4 with only 62 miles on it and i have loved it so far. Yea the Skid plates aint all that great but Suzuki Claims they are better than Aluminum and steel. But they are lighter, they do have better resistents to denting or scratching therefore you wont have Rusty Dented Skid plates which makes the ATV Look terrible! So i have no problem with them.

I wouldn't say the 4x4 is as good on the Suzuki, Polaris does have true 4x4 in the mud. But at least the eiger has front engine brake when going down STEEP down hills which is more important to me. The Eiger is also much lighter than a magnum by about 100 lbs. I really like mine so far...

Default Eiger Review

I bought a 2003 eiger 2WD about 3 weeks ago. I have about 135 miles on it and it has been awesome. The 2 people I ride with the most are my brother-in-law who has a 2003 eiger 4WD and a buddy with a Yamaha Bigbear 4WD. I can follow them anywhere and paid a heck of alot less than they did. When I bought mine, Suzuki had a special on winches for $69. With the winch, there is no place they can go without me. My buddy was amazed that I could out accelerate and smoke his Bigbear topend.

I really thought about the 4WD, but I am very happy now that I didn't get it. I wasn't the biggest Suzuki fan before this purchase, but now I am hooked.

You will smoke a big bear on more than top end with an eiger (if it's a 5 sp?). It's a great bike but a little cold natured at first when the weather starts to turn cold. After 5 minutes, it's fine, kinda like a honda.
