unless you plan on taking on some massive motorcross tabletops or playing chicken with a redwood, most frames hold up ok.
That said, many people who have made significant mods to thier z's and ride some larger jumps have had some problems with the frame busting up around the front shock towers and a few other problems. All of the z's made in the second half of the production year have reinforced axles, so that problem seems to have been solved.
bottom line, if you are into mx or big air, you might need to look into reinforcement.
