Default 86 lt250r questions

Just bought a 86 quad and i was told it had a new top end. Should it be able to do a wheelie. The gearing is stock with 22" tires on the rear. Or does anybody know what the compression should be. When modified with pipe/filter/jets what is the increse in power.

Yes it should be able to do a wheel. The compression should be around 150 to 175. How does it start? 1st kick? 10 kicks? Can you easily push the kick starter with your hand? Other thing that would prevent it from doing wheelies is if the rear shock is blown. Check to see if the rear shock is like a po-go stick (all spring).
