tough decision- vinson- auto or manual
#1
I'm trying to decide which way to go here. The auto version retails for I think 200 dollars more than the manual so the price difference isn't enough to help me make my decision. I was wondering which way would you guys go? I know that both have there pros and cons so I'll use the input you give me to help me in chooseing which one I buy. Thanks!!!!!

Opinions are like A** holes everyone has one--so here is mine:
Get the manual. I'm not an auto fan just because every post I read about the Kaw p650 and their belt problems turns me off, don't know how Suzuki's belt system is but I just hear so much about the p650's problems I associate the same to all autos. I am seriously considering the Vinson manual for my next machine--all they need is a locker!

I have an auto and a manual atv. I chose the 5sp Eiger over the auto. It's faster and has more punch when you hit the gas. I figure the same is true for the Vinson. Suzuki has their belts down pretty good like Polaris and Yamaha but seems to have a little auto lag. Kawasaki is not typical of belt quads, they just can't get the belt thing right which is unfortunate cause the 650 is a nice bike if you didn't have to mess w/ the belt constantly.

There is a good article in the January edition of Dirt Wheels magazine comparing the manual and the auto. The riders seemed to like the manual better. I am looking at the Vinson as well but torn between the manual and auto myself. I like manuals better but I ride a quadrunner manual now and the manual shifting can sometimes be hard to shift up in a hurry-have to let rpms drop alot before shifting. I would recomend riding both if possible to see which one you like better!!!

I would have to vote for the manual too. Have you never owned a manual quad?
I think Suzuki is smart to offer both though. They covered there bases.

hi Guys
Was in the board looking for info for wifes new quad. I was thinking of 360 prairie but know it lacks power. So I was thinking Vinson. But like everything it has both pro & cons
As for the 650 Prairie I have one for last years with close to 1000 miles on it .The last 3 weeks I have used it to plow alot of snow using 72 snow plow blade .I have NEVER had any belts problems. If the quad wasn't so fast and big i would get wife one . But just to much quad for ladie. hope I didnt jink myself.
What is top speed of Vinson?
What is diffence between Auto and Man?
How does it handle trails?
