how does auto clutch work?
When you lift up or push down on the shift lever, it automatically engages the clutch. When you let go of the lever it pops into gear. It also has a centrifugal clutch (and therefore some lost power!!), which doesn't engage until you reach a certain RPM, so you can sit idle while the bike is still in gear. I know an Ozark owner who complains that the bike is unusually hard to shift.

They have good engine braking when you let off the gas. You can downshift or grab the brakes, whichever you like. Because of the centrifugal clutch, the engine won't die (without the clutch pulled in) like with a manual clutch bike. It is a really good system!!!

You crank one by turning the key on and hitting the start button.
The Ozark has a Start in any gear feature. You just have to squeeze the left hand brake lever and push the start button. With the Auto clutch, the shift pattern is diferent than a Manual clutch. To get to Neutral, you go all the way down and all of the forward gears are up from there. You get into reverse by starting in neutral, turn the Reverse **** and shift down. to go forward from there, simply shift up one click and you are in first. You should let up on the gas when shifting.
Enjoy your Ozark, it's a Great Quad.
