Ozark Problems
Purchased an Ozark and have had it out for about 100 miles and it ran fine. Lately however, the quad is really difficult to start and it backfires while warming up and riding. Talked to the dealer and he said the bike has broke it and it will cost me $100 bucks to do the initial maintenance on it. Valves have seated and a couple other things...dont overly fond of this dealer but you work with what you have.
Anyone else experience this or might have some insight here???

Ozark Problems
I actually bought the Ozark for my daughter...heard so many things about it I wanted to get a fun quad that would last her awhile. I have a prairie 650. But once we purchased it and was taking it through the basics both me and my brother spent a could portion of time taking it around...its a fun little quad with alot of excitment...little easier to throw around then that prairie too...but i have to keep the prairie
she loves it and we like it...just cant believe its doing this with less the 100 miles on it.

Ozark Problems
I have an Ozark 250 2002 that is occasionally hard to start. But, recently it has backfired a time or too and I was beginning to think something might be wrong since it has only 100 miles on it. Its been a while since you posted. Did you ever resolve the problem and if so, how?

If its hard to start and backfires, the first thing to check is the mixture screw adjustment. Go about 1/4 to 1/2 turn out, this make make the idle mixture richer.
Another trick to make the 'zark start easier, when cold, is to pull the seat off, hold your hand over the snorkle inlet, and crank. Itll fire right off.
