I am shopping for new tires. I do all types of riding except for the sand. I was wondering which tire should I go with between the Razr and Razr 2. Which one should I go with? What type of wheels should I go with? What size of wheel and tire should I use?

For the money I think you should go with the Razr's, they are really good tires. The size of the tire and rim depends on what type of riding you do. The smaller tires are better for MX riding and the bigger are better for XC. If you do both I would suggest the 20*11-9. for the rear and if you want rims that are real durable you should get the .190 douglas red label rims.

 

I would also go with the Razr's, they are a great all terrian tire, performing well in all conditions but I have read that the Razr 2 rears are more suited towards muddy terrian. I'm not saying don't buy them but I have read they really hook up and they do not slide as well as some other tires that have a similar design. I will be buying a set of 22 or 23

Front Razr tires are the best... they track perfectly and do not push in turns.......the best......im sure razr 2 fronts are even better.........im not sure about the backs

 

I've raced xc/harescambles for many years and tried all different tires. These razr2 tires are the best I've ever used! I am currently running 22 inch rears and 23/7/10 fronts for these winter months. I will change to 20 inch rears in the summer. You'll smoke all your buddies with these tires! I raced three races (mudd and snow) with these tires and won all three.(expert class)
SSP in dirtwheels hooked me up and will treat you good.

 

Do you think they are worth the money over the normal Razrs. Are they that much better?

 

Im looking at Razrs on my Quadzilla (20x11-10)

I have burnt tires right now so the traction will surely be more but how do they slide. I want traction but i dont want a tire that slides real well. any sugestions?

 

I have 6 ply razr 1's and love them. they are mounted on itp t-9 wheels. both are very duable and get very good traction. I paid $ 228 to my door from elite performance there # is 1-866-738-3929 talk to eric he will hook you up!!!!

 

I bought 22/11/9 razr for my DS and they work pretty good. Better than most others I have seen. If I could do it all over again i would get Razr 2's. I paid 185.99 for the 22/11/9 on douglas .190's (Rocky Mountain ATV)

 

I have all most 2 years on my Razr 2's and the tred thats left is equal to a new set of Razr 1's. I would check out the new i-Razr's they are a 6 ply radial made with a harder compound for ride comfort and tred life, they handle the same as the Razr 2's, some say the handle better.
