Go to Alba Action Sports

They have a bunch of scenarios at the bottom for the Z400. You should be able to find it there.

I believe stock jetting main is 135. Jetting is all trial and error so I would have quite a few different mains and see what happens.

I was wrong stock is 130. Buy 5 or 6 plugs and start changing jets, you might have to raise the needle. Trial and error! If you dont feel comfortable doing it then have someone do it and watch them that way you know how!

I checked it out and was shocked that they had a 165 jet for just a K&N and open airbox. That seems very lean. And then for a Z400 with an Alba pipe it's a 142.5. Doesn't make sense.

Anyone running just a K&N at Glamis? Curious what the best jetting is. I seem to always run too rich or too lean.

jd- I have a buddy with a Z and a Yoshi slip-on and K&N and he went with a 155 main. Hope this helps a little. XR

I broke down and bought the Dynajet kit (50.00). (I had a hell of a time finding larger jets between 130 and 160). It comes with a needle that actually has grooves in it so you don't have to mess with washers and 8-10 jets. The main I ended up using was the (dynajet) 150 , clip in the middle position with the washer under the clip. The screw had to be almost 4 turns out in order to make it idle right. I mostly ride under 1000 ft elevation in mild weather. I have the stock filter no lid and WB E-series slip-on.
This thing runs ****, no hesitation or backfiring just pure GO.
