LT-Z400 crushes Raptor
My son and I spent the weekend at Buttercup, and he spent quite a bit of time running up competition hill on his bone stock LT-Z400. He only got beat a couple of times, mainly by tricked out Banshees, and he had trouble from a couple of well ridden Bajas and Raptors, but for the most part, he took no prisoners on that hill. I watched him take on a parade of stock and modded 400EX's, Raptors, and pretty much anyone else that came his way. Anyone that tells you a LT-Z400 is slow hasn't seen my boy on his. Oh yeah, by the way, he weighs about 100 lbs with all his riding gear on. Could that have something to do with it? Everyone he beat this weekend seemed to think so, as that seemed to be the most popular excuse from those who got smoked by the Yuma Kid!

Yeah, Buttercup is a pretty cool place to ride, and with all the Park Rangers and Border Patrol out there, people don't seem to get stupid drunk and cause accidents like they used to. We're taking the whole family there this weekend, my boy wants to sharpen his duning skills some more, and my beautiful daughter, Princess Jessica, will be making her first appearance of the season on a shiny new Sportsman 90. Momma will be going as well, so at least we'll get some good food this time!

I think he got lucky. A raptor has a solid 5 hp over the Z. Piped and jetted z's were not breaking 30hp at the dyno at fsw's. A bone stock 0 hour raptor hit 31 on the same dyno with zero break in time. Pipe raptors were over the 40hp mark. Most z only dynoed to 61 mph while all the rappys went over 70mph

Lucky? About 30 times in a row? Not likely. he didn't just "get lucky", he made his own luck by having a favorable power to weight ratio and by using good technique through the whoops at the base of the hill. By the way, 14mins, I thought it was called "Competition" Hill, not "Lame Excuse from someone who wasn't even there" Hill!
