I could not believe that the pipes only gained 2-3.5 peak HP. I am glad That I saved the $$$ and only got the HMF slipon.

 

first of all they should have showed the torque gains not the horse power and besides low and mid end torque is were you benefit from the pipe not real on the horse power.

 

I have that issue of Dirt Wheels and they do show the torque gains along with the
horse power gains.

They show strait out that overall pretty much every Slip on pipe is a big waist of money. Barely ANY HP or Torque increase if any at all on some of them.

The winner of the shootout was the full pipe WhiteBro's E-series and the Yoshi Full pipe.

Pricey for both of them but even 3.5 HP, not to mention the big torque increase is a lot
for a quad when all you're doing is changing the pipe. Along with re-jetting you'll definitely see
a nice difference in power.

 

Yet another reason why I'm glad I took the holesaw to my stock pipe.

I am very happy with my HMF slipon. I can't tell any more power out of my friends full pipe. In a drag, who ever gets the best start wins.

 

you have an hmf slip on. is it the yellow one? how do you like the looks? does it match the yellow color of the suzuki plastic. Did you notice much difference? DO you know of anywhere that the pipe is too loud to be used at??

 

Mine is not yellow. I thought the color might turn later. It was easy to put on. It is kinda loud but most of them are, It made a big difference. It makes like 5HP more than stock at4500rpm and 3hp more at 7500.

 

I found the article to be quite amusing. I know I ride for Trinity, but you can not honestly tell me a Yosh pipe will out perform a Trinity. Also, if you noticed Dirtwheels was nice enough to raise the price from $439 to $500 for Trinity. Look at the charts and they show the stock having more top end. Something smells fishy to me. Look at my dynos and compare. I was there for those.

 

my yoshi sucks...had it since i bought the bike in oct. and it already needs packing, and its stained...and sounds horrible, at least thats what EVERYONE tells me. it made ok power, but i know the trinity and alba pipes to be better...i think im gonna ebay it soon and get the alba pipe kit

 

Another Dirtwheels story, I just read and laugh at those. I dont care what they say, I had mine stock and rode it for about a month, was going to get the yosh but my buddy did first (good thing I didnt) then I got the Trinity after he mentioned the low end didnt give him the umf he wanted. So when I got the Trinity it woke it up just like my Raptor. Enough said. Oh, and the looks and sound are AWESOME!!!
