I'll bet you thought I was referring to an engine.lol Do any of you know how to tell what kind of choke a 12 gauge double barrel would have? I've heard of a dime test but do not recall the specifics. It is an old side by side Ithaca.

 

I feel like it is most likely a modified choke. that i what most theme old guns thad did'nt have selectable choke were.
and if a dime will drop through it's a modified, and if it won't it's a full.

The big question: Can you drop a 20ga shell in it? I have seen some un modified guns that a 20 ga shell will have to be pressed down the bore. Talk about a tight pattern.
