First things first, these jets you said are in your carb came with a box stock carb, correct? There is a thread in this forum about a problem with a quadracer not starting, look it up, it has a link to it from Duncan racing, which the originator, forget his name off the top of my head, sorry. Anyways, check it out, and it should give ya a good understanding of what ya need to do. I could type it here, but it is better explained there. Hope this helps, thank the guy who found the link!

Ok, first off stupid question, have to messed tried turning up your idle with the idle adjustment screw? Does it idle at an acceptable speed when you do that? If that hasn't worked, do this screw the air screw all the way in, then back it out 1/4 turn at a time, waiting about 15 seconds or so in between each move you make, continue this till the motor is running at the highest RPM you can get with it. If it is running at highest rpm with less than or equal to 1 turn out, then the jet is lean, and you need a larger one, if it is higher than 2 turns then it is rich and you need a smaller one. Basically what I typed is what the duncan site explains also. Hope it is more self explanatory.
Set RPM with the AIR SCREW to about 500 rpm higher than normal idle
Less than 1 turn out = Pilot Jet is Lean = You need a larger Pilot Jet
More than 2 turns out = Pilot Jet is Rich = You need a smaller Pilot Jet
Does nothing when you turn the air screw = You may have a clog in your slow speed circuit = CLEAN IT!!!

Ok...maybe I'm a complete moron. My LT250R will not idle at all. It dies not matter how much I adjust the idle screw or air screw. It just dies as soon as I let off the throttle. Maybe I'll just go back to the stock carb. It idled fine. Everyone just talked up the Keihin. My understanding is that if the jets are off the idle and air screw don't mean that much. I need to know where to start with the jets. Thanks for all of you that are tring to help. If I don't get my LT250R running by spring I will by forced to let friends ride my Z.....and I don't like that. Help please
