I am interested in any of those 3 and I'm wondering which is better. The Banshee im guessing the fastest stock, but the all have there ++++.

KFX-400- don't know much about could you explain??(reverse)

Z-400- Great ground clearance (10"), REVERSE!!

Which is better?? I know that the kfx 400 and z-400 are very similar, but what do you all prefer?? I am looking for speed, good in snow, sand, little mud, creeks, open field, also crossing creeks which needs ground clearance. I love the Banshee's looks and speed, but one major thing that would make it incredible is reverse and tiny more ground clearance. I will be JUMPING, RACING, TRAILS, SAND which is best for all this??

ALSO ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN GET ONE OF THESE EXTREMELY CHEAP NEAR MARYLAND (maybe Virginia) or if they ship....

my dealer will sell you a z for about $5500
i got mine for 5100 since i know him.

a banshee isnt very good fo0r trail riding and lacks bottom end power. personaly id get a z or kfx.

as for there differences its just the color and the fact that the kfx wheighs a couple ounces more.

 

The Z and KFX are the same except color and the KFX has a headlight deflector , Shee's are great but they just want to fly and fly they do .
I love my KFX and would not trade it for anything in its price range , everyone I ride with has Raptors and 400EX's in certain areas where we ride my KFX out performes them hands down , the Raptors give me a run for my money on straights , but I blow by them on whoops and corners.

I picked my KFX do to color and it is a great all around ATV I can fly if I want to or I can do a nice slow trail ride with the kids.

There is a lot of mods avalible and working on a KFX or Z is a walk in the park

 

Your comparin apples and oranges there ozark man...what is your idea of *better*? Speed? Handleing? Torque? Where r u gonna do most of your ridin? Sand? Woods? Desert? Ive riden both bikes quite a bit! What r u gonna do with yours when u get it?

 

Well I'm not sure if were getting the beach house first so i may do sand like twice a year, but mainly open fields and tracks in woods....also jumping and racing

 

the shee is a great machine and will never be beat for mod potential and sand dunes but you might like the z400 better in the trails and for jumping and racing its just newer techlogy good luck lata

Sounds like you want to do a variety of types of riding, so you are going to be best off on a bike that has all around good handling. And, that ISN'T THE SHEE, but it IS THE 400!! The March issue of ATV Action called the Z, "Good power, excellent suspension, great handling, and a nice price". The Shee, "Ancient handling and suspension". I agree!!

 

I agree...the Z is a much better *all around* bike. The shee gets the thrill factor edge...but its a chore to ride...and will beat the hell outa ya with stock suspension!!! Youll b happy with a Z [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
