Hey, thought I'd join. Just bought a 2003 Vinson auto. I put 26" 589's on from the getty up. This forum is exactly laid out like snowest. Been a member there for 2 years now.

What does everyone think of the Vinson auto? I know the manual has a larger compression ratio, but I use mine for plowing too so I thought I would give the auto a try. Wife liked the ease of operation also.

I could see how the wife would like the auto. I started my wife out on a
3 speed Honda XR70 so she would get used to shifting. One of her first
episodes on the little Honda was to flip in the woods.
What happened is she was twisting the throttle picking up speed and
locking the front brake up at the same time and then flipping it right on
over. Thank goodness we were in the woods where she landed. This wouldn't
have ended up so well if we would have been on our drive.
Anyways she does real good with shifting now and was happy to get off 2
wheels and move up to 4.
