Default Suzuki mechanics please help

Any suzuki mechanics please help. I am new to Suzuki engines. I have taken the fenders and tank off my 2002 Vinson auto to adjust the valves. I am used to my polaris that has a cam sprocket cover that can be removed to find TDC. Does Suzuki have an easy way to find TDC? Any help would be appreciated. i will be ordering a manual asap, but need some help now. I know the valve specs. Also, what is the torq specs for the rocker covers? Thank you in advance.

Remove your spark plug.Turn your motor in direction of rotation (if not shure bump the starter). When the intake valve goes down and then comes back up hold a pencle in the spark plug hole when you feel the piston hit top dead center you can set exhaust and intake valves at the same time.

There's a TDC plug on the side of the engine by the recoil starter. Remove the TDC plug. When removed, you'll be able to look down into it and see the generator rotor. The generator rotor has a mark on it that you must align with the mark on the crankcase by the TDC plug hole.

The engine must be cold when you adjust the valves.

Slowly turn the crankshaft by pulling the recoil starter rope until the line on the generator rotor is aligned with the mark on the crankcase. You're now at Top Dead Center (TDC).

If you can't line them up that way, you could remove the recoil start cover and turn the crankshaft using the starter cup.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies, I went back out and found the plug 15 minutes after my post. I sould've posted back that I figured it out to save you some trouble. I had to remove the recoil housing to line it up, it was impossible to line up with the recoil. Once again, thanks
