Default Help

I just painted my cases and was wondering if i should have primed it first. I used that pj1 or something. The paint that is supposed to match factory colors. also after i painted it someone told me to put it in an oven and let it back for about 2 hours and this will help that paint get harder or more durable is that true or did i fall for something? one more question has anyone used the grip tape that you can cut to your desire? Does it also work to help protect the paint? i heard that they have a clear and i was wondering if i put it on my frame would it take that ubuse of my boots and so the frame would look better longer? (I just painted the frame) and could you put it on the motor were your boots come in contact with the motor or would it melt and look like crap. If you didn't understand a word i said then let me know and i will try to explain better?
P.S. Thanx everyone for all your help you have helped me rebuild my R i am hoping to get it finished this sat.

Your boots will tear up the clear traction tape. And yes it will melt if you put it on your engine. Skateboard tape which looks like sand paper is fairly durable but it is ugly. I would maybe consider colored rino coat on the frame. Don't have any idea what to put on the motor.
