Default Winch & Aftermarket Tires 500 Vinson

TextThis is for the Vinson owner who was wondering if the winch is causing steering problems and to the person who was wondering about aftermarket tires...Here's a description of my Vinson.

I own a 2002 automatic 500 Vinson with 3200 hard kilometeres on it. It has all the accessories including a winch. I have the front shocks on #1 setting and the rear on #2. I also have 26-9-12 Maxxis Mudzillas on the front and 26-12-12's on the rear. All tires have 3lbs. of air pressure with no trouble steering. Only in 4WD is she a bit stiff.

And as for ITP 589's, a buddy of mine has them on his ATV and they don't compare. If you put the Mudzillas on your ATV, you won't be sorry. And most importantly, there's no power loss in snow or mud.

Thanks for the info there Farmer. Now that I have ridden my Vinson with
the Winch on, I am getting used to it. My front Shock settings are on 2.

Is shock setting #1 the softest or the stiffest?

Setting number one... is the softest..... 5, the firmest. This is in reference to the
groove length in the dial on the shock. The longer the groove, the softer the setting.

Farmer... Any problems with clearance or durability after adding the 26's? Just curious if it holds up well to the added load. I see lots of Sportsman, Rincon, and Grizzly guys with 26 and 27 inch tires with no problem.

Hey...
I've had no problem whatsoever. I'm actually thinking of purchasing a pair of 28" Muddzillas. She can handle the load and then some.
