Z400 vs DS650
I found a deal on a '03 Z400 with 1 ride on it for a great deal so I couldn't pass it up. I originally bought the Z400 so I could turn it around and sell it for a little profit. Now that I spent an hour or two on it today Im debating selling the DS and keeping the Z. It handles soo great compared to the DS Here are the pros and cons to both:
DS650
Pros: Fast!, soft and pretty smooth, dependable
Cons: heavy, handling not as good, heavy steering now that I have aftermarket a arms,no reverse
Z400
Pros: could be as fast, handles great!, decent suspension, reverse, easier to ride on trails
Cons: weak bottom end (then again so did the DS stock though), ummm I'm thinking.
I wish I could sell the DS as fast as I could the Z400 but it would take to long with as many small things as I would have to fix. The Z400 seems like a great quad, my brother and I drag raced quite a bit and the Z didn't do to bad against the modified DS. I will envy you Z400 owners once this one is gone.

Z400 vs DS650
I think I am going to get a Z400 this summer. I know I could kill my riding buddy on his 400ex in the woods. He is a good rider and I can barely keep up with him in the woods with my big heavy DS, so with the Z's agility I should be able to show him nothing but tailights. I'd like to modify it and get some bottom end out of it as well as more top end. hopefully soon.

Z400 vs DS650
In the trails the Z is not that far behind the DS, that is with my pipe and jet kit and was no more than a bikes length this last weekend. I was amazed at the power it had compared to the DS. My buddy bought my DS from me and put a 45 mm carb, 11:1 piston and ripped out the airbox and put a K&N on it and boy does it have the power on the straight run, he was blowin the doors off of some banshees!! but as for the trail rides and climbing up the dunes, my Z was right there nipping at his heels.

Z400 vs DS650
You guys are joking.
The Z400 is a kids bike compaired to the DS650.
Im sorry but for those that say a DS650 cant handle. Call up some sort of driving school and book a lesson.
I realize im comming off very hard here. But ive just heard enough of this crap. The DS650 absoultly flys thru the trails. My Banshee cant hold with the Baja in the woods or anyplace else. And the Z400 may be a little more agile, but it doesnt have anywhere near the suspention or the power.
Now becasue of all this BS, bombardier has narrowed up the X packaged DS650. If only they realized that the only reason it was critized for being wide was becasue Raptor, Z, and all other sport bike owners were jelous. If you cant handle a bike in the woods becasue of a few more inches of width then get a dirtbike.
Wider is better, its like that in cars, Snowmobiles, Trucks, trains, Everything.
Before you critize my post, go take a good look at a DS650 at your local dealer. Or take a ride on one. The lying on this site about the DS is unbelivable.
Take the emount of users on this site. Times it by 10 and thats the emount of raptors ive seen with widening kits to bring it to the DS level.
