I just got a vinson this week and the machine is great and love it so much. Does anyone out there have any mods on their vinson? Were could i find some? I am looking at the hmf exhaust and a k&N airfilter, how much of a power gain would that be? Any info on your vinson and what you have done to it would be very helpful. Thanks

Just got mine last Friday also........nice machine.

 

I was at an area on Saturday where there were Vinsons everywhere. Several had the HMF exhaust and let me tell you, they are loud. Pretty obnoxious like an unmuffled 400ex. Not sure about the power gains, but it is loud. Lots of them with 27" tires also. I may be in the market for some 27s sooner than I thought.

 

Congratulation ZigZilla, Did you buy a 5 speed or auto? What color is it?

 

I got the yellow 5 speed.......I love it so far.....the stock tires are lame but i did order new ones.....i wanted a good tire same size as stock and not so agressive to tear up my lawn when using it around the house.....I ended up getting the new ITP ATR's . The ATR's are more of a cross country racing tire then a mud tire...just what i was looking for...I didnt want to loose any speed with a larger heavier Tire. These tires are radial 6 ply and i think they will do the job perfect for me. As soon as i get them on ill let ya know how the are.

 

Zig- Where did you order the tires from? I'm torn between the ATRs and the Mud Lites and they are about the same price. I ride aggressively on the trail and could benefit from the ATRs, but I've been getting brave around the mud lately and could use some extra bite. The problem is, I like the look of 27s, but I don't want to give up the speed and handling with the 25s. Any advice?

 

pairof98s , I actually bought my ATR's through the dealer where i purchased my Vinson. After you purchase a new ATV there ,you get 15% off anything you buy for like 2 months. They order most of their parts from a company called Parts Unlimited. What i also did was i brought along my RockyMountain ATV catalog which after the 15% off rockymountain was still cheaper.. So they knocked off another 25 bucks and i was happy.
As far as how ATR"S handle in the mud.....I will have to let you know after this weekend. Good luck
