They don't own them, and they didn't design the Z, as far as I know, Suzuki owns a small portion of Arctic Cat, I may be wrong on that though.

 

Nobody owns Suzuki but Artic Cat uses the Suzuki Engine, guess they dont know how to make there own[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Also to my knowledge Suzuki Created the Z400 and shared it with Kawi to fill in there line up.

 

Suzuki owns part of Arctic Cat and has the rights to anything AC developes. I know Cat designed the original 454 motor that is now a 500 and is used in the Cats, Quad runner and Vinson. I wouldn't be surprised if the AC guys weren't asked for some input. But I wouldn't say that they developed it. Back years ago Kawasaki owned part of AC, and used Kawi motors in some of their sleds. When Kawi got into a little $$ trouble they sold their part to Suzuki. I've worked on Suzuki and Cats and it is surprising how much of the same parts are used.
