Banshee motor in a lt250r

i have a suzuki lt250r without a motor and i was thinking of putting a banshee motor in it. is this a good idea .if not could someone recomend another motor to put into it.i really dont want to put a stock motor into it.

If I were you I'd try to find a stock motor. Putting a custom motor will need custom pipes and silencers which are not very easy to make. You will also need to fab your own motor mounts, and align the front sprocket with the rear one. Unless you are a welder I wouldn't do this. Just get a LT250 motor from somewhere a pop it in there.

If you want a very VERY fast, reliable Banshee killer, put an LT500 motor in there!!! it's a very easy conversion for someone who's somewhat handy with a welder and has basic fab skills.
I'm about to embark on a project just like this... '85 250 chassis, '87 500 motor.... SHe'll run!
You can find a used motor on Ebay, although they are going for more than I think they are worth... Might try some of the ATV salvage yards around the country.
I wouldn't waste my time with a Banshee motor.. Just my $.02
