weight vs. power
#1
Ok common sense tells ya that you will get to your top speed faster if your lighter and your atv is lighter. There are 3 honda racher 2 wheels drives up here..none of them are ES's. well i weigh close to 150, another boy weighs about 260 and one of my close friends is really small for his age and only weighs a lil over 100 pounds. Well when we race it always ends with me and him really close. im not even a half a fourwheeler length behind him and david the big guy on back there. ok ill get to the point now. My brother has a raptor and he weighs about 230 or 240. would it be a close race if i was on a 30 pound lighter Z400 and im just close to 150. thats like over a 100 pounds weight difference together. would his heavier weight give me a chance?..lol. My cousin has a banshee and the only thing he has done to it is put fmf pips on it and my brothers raptor has a jet kit and a pro circuit pipe and my cousin weights not much more than i do and he beets my bro in a drag race. Is that the weight difference or could it just be because my brother hasnt had his raptor long and isnt really used to a sport atv with a clutch. What would i have to do to a Z to make it run with my brother on his raptor?

hey SAMS save a few thousand dollars and get the high compression piston, cams, carb ,pipe and headers , and a stroker kit with some porting and head mods and no raptor with average mods will touch you in a drag race and especially in the trails . the z has so much better handling that stock for stock the raptor falls behind in the trail.
