Default Z400 decision

I'm ready to buy a new sport quad, but I'm having a hard time determining if the Z400 is the right one. I am spoiled by the power of my Banshee and Raptor, but like the wider stance of the Suzuki. If not a Z400, I may go with the Raptor again.

Some of you guys that have both or have ridden them both: I'm not a drag racer, but want the top end for the dunes. Will a pipe on the Z get me close to the stock Raptor? I'm sold on the value of the Z, but want some assurance that it's the right machine since I have not had the chance to ride one yet.

Thanks!

I'm very happy with my piped Z. I have put in a lot of hours on a friends (stock) Raptor, and the extra power is nice, but the Z handling makes it the choice for me.

a z with a pipe and a little engine work will run right with a stock raptor. something like a filter, good pipe (lrd, yosh, mbrp) and a hotcam will put you right where you want to be for acceleration. I am not sure about top speed, because my friend i race against hasnt had the nerve to run me yet! He has the stock pipe, a cam, filter kit, some gearing changes, and some mystery mod done to his bike. he wont tell me what it is, but he beats me 3 times out of 5 in the hill climb.

I have yet to ride my Z in the sand....but ive ridden both the shee and a raptor in the sand. MY prefrence there was the shee. There is jus sumpthin bout ridin a shee on the pipe wide open But for trail and the desert...im happy with my Z
