LT500R CDI question
New here but have been reading/researching here for months.
I have a stock 88 LT500R that I picked up a few months ago. I also have a few spare parts for it, one of which is an 89 CDI. I was looking through the service manual and noticed a slight difference in the 88 (15btdc @ 5500)and 89 (12btdc @9000) CDI.
Any of you quadzilla people know which CDI works better for reliability? for power? does it even matter?
I run the stock pipe/muffler for trails and a PT pipe, CSFX silencer in the sand with the stock airbox and UNI filter, 927 40:1.
Thanks in advance, great site, I've already learned tons from here.

LT500R CDI question
I do not think they make a diference. I am useing a cdi of a 250 and it works fine on the 500. Suzuki lists diferent part number for the same part sometimes? Not sure why? I am not saying the boxes are exactly the same, just that mine`s been running fine for over 2 years with a 250 box.
