Well, here ya go, LT. I own an 87 LT250R and an '01 Raptor. Mods are: LT250--Wiseco, ports mildly cleaned up (smoothed off the casting flash), old DG pipe and "Hush Puppy" silencer, reed cage, 39 PWK carb, stock gearing, no airbox lid and a K&N. Raptor--12-42 gearing (stock is 13-40), K&N, jetted up to 145-150. With paddle tires on both bikes, me on the Q-racer (200 lbs), my wife on the Raptor (130 lbs), we drag raced on level sand a couple of weeks ago. She knows how to ride too. She beat me the first time, I won the second time, about even a couple more times. Raced up through 5th gear. It was close enough that when I shifted my weight just right through first and second gear, that would put me ahead. Soooo, you'll at least be in the ball park against these guys, but you need to be on your game! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] Shady

Wow there first quad is a 660 raptor and a DS650 man these guys must be confident lol.

Thats probably about right cause a guy here has a pretty much stock, maybe piped and jetted 90 lt250 and he just barely beats me from 4th gear on in about 500 feet. I have a stock KFX400

 

your lt250 would do fine if you got a pipe,air filter, reeds, head,and a sprocket, remember "THE SKY'S THE LIMIT" When it comes to sportquads. you can only go as fast as your paycheck will allow! Personally i will smoke Anything if its stock. BUT, remember that i can be beat by a modded raptor or DS . ya know what i mean?
It's like anything can beat anything with enough $$MONEY$$...........................Well i think your 250 will do fine if you mod it like mine .haha BUT if your LT250 is stock then maybe you'll be them rappys and DS'S IN ACCELERATION, NOT TOP SPEED! ...............I say you put your WHOLE paycheck into that LT250 ,smoke all your buddies, and make us PROUD!
