Default Need some 250lt sport help!!!!

I recently put my motor back in my quad and from there its been nothing but trouble. We got it to run and everything in fact it will start on the first kick but the problem is that it wont go more than half throttle. When you give more then half throttle it bogs down but doesnt stall it will sit there and go rev up and down. Some people told me a carb problem and some told me a ignition problem. Let me know what you think. Thanks ~

sounds like your running to lean you need a bigger main jet in your carb

When you put you 'put your motor back in' Why did you take it out?
Is it bored. What mods were done.
Check carb boot connections to make sure they are tight.
Is the carb adjusted to the correct specs, air screw, idle etc?

I took the motor out because it woudnt start at all and the valves need adjusted and a new cam chain. I didnt to nothing to the carb. it stock and the only thing you can adjust that i know of is the air screw next to the idle. I was thinking about getting some new jets . Is there any other way to adjust a carb? Tell me what you think. Thanks

you are either too rich or too lean... too lean it could be starving for fuel... or too much and it could be choiking... if there is alot and i mean alot of blue smoke after the mator has been warmed up it is too rich and go down on ur main jet... if there is completely no smoke then ur too lean and u need get a bigger main jet.... the main jet controls half throttle to full throttle.... air screw controls idle to bout 1/3 throttle... and clip position and pilots control everything else... hope this helps

IF your motor was running too lean it wouldnt bog it would run the best it has ever run until it blows. sounds like it may be too rich. When you add mods you need to play around with jetting . IF you only rebuilt motor dont need to buy bigger jets just adjust your needle. I recently had the problem you describe and moved my needle from the 2nd to 3rd needle location and it solved my problem. Also buy a new spark plug too , once they foul you better off replacing.
