Default Steering Stablizer

Yo...

I jus put the Denton *rebuildable* strng stablizer on my Z. I had to re-engineer their installation instructions. Instead of cutting up the raidator shoud as they sugested...i jus trimed maybe a 1/16th to and 1/8th inch off the oil tank. I also took a ruber gromet (49 cents @ home depot), cut it in half, and installed each half around the hiem joint on the frame mount end. It came out perfect! If the rain stops tomorrow...ill b tak'n it out for a spin!!

Click here to see a few pics of how it came out.

Have fun!

i built a whole new alumn. heim shim for mine, and mounted it higher up the stem, so it lays perfectly flat, with no binding...like a stabilizer should....stabilizer worked good for about 2 races then crapped out...the dentons are just junk, they are really watercraft stabilizers with differend mounts made up for them...that they didnt even get right! mines for sale if you want it 50$ fully rebuildable billet one. 150$ value, only 2 months old. Im 100x's happier with my GPR.

Default Steering Stablizer

Here is my review. The pics should show pretty well the kinda ridin I was doin today...mostly badly rain rutted trails...and muddy woods trails...nuthin but work! I have riden these same trails over and over...but today was a whole different story. The best way to explain what the stablizer did for my quad...is to say...it felt like a car with power steering vs. a car without power steering! Not that its easier to turn the bars mind you...but...the bars stay where you want them to without a whole lot of effort! It's no longer a wrestling match with your handle bars goin over rough terain. You can ride much faster cause the bike seems to be much smoother. (without all the feedback jarin your hands and arms around!) The adjustablity of the stablizer is a huge plus. While we were ridin the more open trails (faster) i had the adj. to the 6th click. But...it was a *huge* chore to ride the single track (slower) trails with that much resistance in the steering! Sooooo all i had to do was reach down and back off the adjustment a click or two...and i was good to go. Bottom line? Best money ive ever spent on a quad. There is NO WAY id ride without a stablizer again!!! Get one...and you'll see what i mean.
